Seen a great page about Spain or Portugal you think everyone should know about? Or you want your own site included in the SPV web links directory? It's easy, and I have removed the restrictions on submissions to the Web Links directory, at least for the moment. I had to to impose them because spammers were making my life a misery, but too many people have found them too difficult to get round. So you can now submit your link(s) without even signing in by clicking the Submit Link link, but it would be nice if you could take the trouble to look through these guidelines first - it might even make the difference between your link being accepted or not.

I have reenabled the Submit News feature so that registered users can send their stories in, so if you have Spain or Portugal news, I'll welcome it. I mean news, not advertising, though genuinely informative PR releases are acceptable, and feel free to announce your event or exhibition - if you do want to advertise as such, please feel free to contact me, or use the free classifieds. In any case, I would ask you to look over the commonsense guidelines which follow.

I'm opening a store for Spain and Portugal for Visitors goods, though I haven't decided what name to give it yet. The first product in the shop window is this tasteful Naked Maja stein, just the job for quaffing your favourite Spanish or Portuguese brew, or the perfect gift for your nearest and dearest nude lover (that's "someone who loves nudes," not... Oh, you understood). What's more, it's a giveaway at $16.99, and comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Read on for more details, or click here for a larger view or to buy now.

Torre de Belém, LisbonPortugal's capital, the city of the seven hills, is a delight for visitors. Its eighteenth-century charm suggests the rhythm of an accordion, the cabaret wail of a fado singer, the briny smell of sardines grilling, the aroma of strong coffee from a pavement café, or a romantic adventure, preferably clandestine. The Spain and Portugal for Visitors Lisbon section now covers the city, Lisbon on the Net, its sights and museums, and much more, including its nightlife and best known music, fado. Visit Lisbon, or read on for more details and a short extract.

I have received thousands, oh all right, dozens, of requests for quotes for advertising on Spain and Portugal for Visitors, so I am finally getting my act together. The first option I am offering is for the big boys — a 468 x 60 pixel site-wide top banner like the one above, which I am practically giving away. I can't put the exact price here on the front page because it attracts the attention of hackers, but I will say that Spain and Portugal for Visitors receives 180,000 page views a month, and the price I am asking works out at 0.006 € or 0.6 eurocents per impression. Read on for more information.
