Illes Medes

The Medas Islands and sea around them are one of the most important nature reserves in the Mediterranean, a premier dive site but worth visiting in glass-bottom boat for the less aquatic. The nature reserve is usually reached from L'Estartit, but dive centres and pleasure cruise companies also operate from L'Escala, Roses or Llafranc. The link goes to the Medas Islands section of the official Parks of Catalonia subsite of the Catalan government's website.
