San Fernando

San Fernando is a busy port and commercial centre on an island in the middle of the Bay of Cadiz, where legendary flamenco singer Camarón de la Isla was born and from which he got his stage name. Its flamenco connections and its fiestas are the only real reasons you might want to visit it more than fleetingly, but you are quite likely to find yourself passing through on the bus. The link goes to its informative and entertaining but Spanish-only muncipal website.
