D.O. Cava 

The cava denominación de origen which produces Spain's champagne-method sparkling wine is unusual in that its production area, though concentrated in Catalonia, extends to other regions such as La Rioja, Valencia and Aragón. There is even a cava-making area in the Extremadura province of Badajoz on the other side of the country. Ninety-five percent of cava is made in the Penedès region in the south of the province of Barcelona, though.
