Fundación del Patrimonio Histórico de Castilla y León

Foundation for the Heritage of Castile and León, financed by local savings banks. The site is in Spanish only, the interesting stuff being under the heading "Arqueología e Historia."

Film Commission Castilla y León

Organization set up to promote the region's considerable attractions for film makers. Unfortunately, the English language version does not work properly, but you'll get by with a dictionary if your Spanish is not up to scratch. Locations in its database let you select according to type of landscape (canyon, forest, lake, etc.), urban landscape (alleyway, colonnade, tunnel, etc.), or by historical period. Great fun, whether you are going to make a film or not.
