Extremadura Tourism

The regional tourist board's fine website, in half a dozen European languages though some of the most interesting material is only in Spanish. Nevertheless, most of Estremadura's attractions for visitors, in particular its tremendous outdoors and wildlife, are well covered, though places like Trujillo deserve more attention.

Extremadura Vista

I am not quite sure what the aim of this site is, but whatever happened in Hannover in 2002 had something to do with it. Some hotchpotch but interesting stuff, including museums, the Vía de la Plata, Charles V, Extremadura and America, culture and leisure, more routes, various webcams, leisure and nature, cork oak woods, the Monfragüe nature reserve and meadows and pigs.

Extremadura Guide New today

New, as yet slender guide to Extrenadura from a resident Brit. Cities - Mérida, Cáceres and Badajoz; towns - Plasencia, Zafra, Trujillo, Guadalupe, Alcántara and Jerez de los Caballeros; rural areas - La Vera, El Jerte, Monfragüe, Las Hurdes, Sierra de Gata, and more; gastronomy and wine; and practicalities like getting there, getting around Extremadura, where to stay and so on. Promising.
