La Coruña Municipal Tourist Information
Tends to return to the city council's website, which is not a problem. All the information you would expect: where to sleep, what to see, where to eat, leisure, nature, routes, "sea tourism," and a photo album.Added on: 20-Aug-2004 | hits: 346

Ayuntamiento de La Coruña
La Coruña, A Coruña or Corunna is a historic but modern city with great shopping and a vibrant nightlife. It was the departure point for the Great Armada and was sacked by Francis Drake (they have never forgotten, much less forgiven). During the Peninsula War, a heroic rearguard action was fought as a British army was trying to evacuate, and it is here that General John Moore was buried "alone with his glory," as the poem by Charles Wolfe has it. For a municipal website, the city council's site has some unusually entertaining content, and even available in English.Added on: 20-Aug-2004 | hits: 288
