Virtourist's Toledo

A rather good virtual tour of Toledo, as usual in this series by Enric Coreberó - plenty of photos and a good outline history. And honest enough to say that it is very quiet (read "dead") at night.

Toledoaldía.com

Ironic, considering how old-fashioned this site looks, that it should be called "Up-to-date Toledo."

Toledo Web

Complete city guide, in directory format. The city, its streets and sights, where to sleep or eat, what to eat and drink, Toledo's history, some suggested itineraries, Toledo's arts and crafts, and more. Fruit of a municipal "Tourism Excellence Plan," but very useful nonetheless

Toledo - from World Heritage Cities of Spain

This homepage is in English, but the site slides into Spanish the further you get in. Great photos, though.

Toledo

The capital of Castilla-La Mancha (roughly the same as New Castile), Toledo is one of the most famous places in Spain. Its mediaeval streets attract throngs of tourists from all over the world, especially at weekends, so it is amazing that this municipal website contains almost no tourist information, and none in English.

Parador de Toledo

If they don't change the URL again, that is. Toledo's parador is a great place to pop in for a coffee or a beer and take in the views over the city, especially at dusk.

Museo Sefardi

Toledo's judería was one of the most important in Europe (until the expulsion of the Jews in 1492, that is), and this Sephardic Museum in the old Transit Synagogue is one of Toledo's unmissable sights.

El Greco's "Burial of the Count of Orgaz"

Actually the website of the church where El Greco's masterpiece hangs, but they do not have a great deal else to talk about. The English-language version of this site seems to have gone walkabout.
