Sitges - International Film Festival of Catalonia

Personally, I miss the days when this was a slightly subversive fringe event dedicated to fantasy, science fiction and horror movies, though these genres are still represented. The Sitges Film Festival has been hijacked by the Catalan establishment - ain't it always the way?

Sitgestour

Very well put together tourist information website from the local convention bureau (which probably explains why the word "gay" is not mentioned once), with these categories (though some are still empty at the time of writing): culture, conferences and business tourism, active tourism, sports and nature, nautical tourism and "wellness" (we used to call it "health" when I was a lad), fiestas and leisure, gastronomy, shopping and, of course, accommodation. Plus the town's beaches (still its main attraction), its culture (read "museums"), leisure (this page is almost empty, the kind of clubs that work in Sitges don't fit in the convention bureau mentality), gastronomy, shopping (for Chrissake), festivities (including the world-famous Sitges Rally, and even Sitges Carnival, again, without mentioning the word "gay"), and, of course, on-line bookings.
