Festival del Cante de las Minas de la Unión 

Mining and flamenco are more closely related than most people expect, and mining is directly connected to two major flamenco palos, the minera, derived from the local fandango of the Sierra de La Unión, and the dramatic martinete, which came out of metalwork forges. La Unión is a historic mining town and its Festival del Cante de las Minas is one of the longest established and most prestigious flamenco festivals in Spain.
