Majestic Café 

The Majestic is an obligatory stop for visitors to Oporto. It was originally called the Elite, and both names are appropriate, for it is a grand and grandiose place, originally opened in 1921.

Café Guarany 

Historic café, opened in 1933, named after the Guarany Indians of Brazil, in recognition of that country's importance as a coffee producer and because the Guaranies were considered particularly romantic figures at the time. The Guarany puts on concerts and other cultural events of considerable interest.
