El Sol 

El Sol is a venerable institution in Madrid's nightlife, opened in 1979 and host to some of the most legendary acts of the movida. It's had its ups and downs since then and has changed musical direction more than once, but has always had an endearing alternativeness about it. You're more likely to visit it as a disco/late-night drinking spot than as a concert hall, though, if I'm honest.

La Boca del Lobo is one of the pivotal nightspots in the Plaza Santa Ana-Calle Echegaray area, among other things because it is one of the latest-opening, non-entrance fee-charging places in the zone, and because of its billiard tables upstairs. Its concerts, however, are unremarkable.
