Almansa 2007 

Site marking the third centenary of the Battle of Almansa, at which the British-Portuguese army was defeated by a Franco-Spanish army, more or less putting an end to the War of the Spansih Succession. It consolidated the rule of the Bourbon dynasty, putting an end to the pretensions of the Hapsburgs.

Ayuntamiento de Almansa 

Almansa is a historic little town in the east of the province of Albacete and the centre of a significant wine-making area. The Battle of Almansa (1707) more or less put an end to the War of Spanish Succession.

Vinos de Almansa 

D.O. Almansa is a small wine-producing area centred on the town of that name in the province of Albacete. It makes high-quality, mostly bottle-aged wines, from Spanish grape varieties like garnacha tintorera, monastrell, cencibel, merseguera and airén.
