D.O. Valdeorras

The wine-growing region of Valdeorras produces red Garnacha-based and white Palomino-based wine (yes, Palomino is a sherry-associated grape variety), although the autochthonous Godello and Mencia grapes are actually the official varieties. It must have been a predominantly white-wine producing area in the past (I deduce, I may be wrong), but now seems to make as much red and rosé wine. The link above goes to the web site of the Valdeorras denominación de origen's regulatory board.

O Barco do Valdeorras

Valdeorras is a wee little denominación de origen in the county of that name in the north of Ourense province, Galicia. O Barco de Valdorras is its largest town, and the link goes to its Galician-only municipal website.
