C.V. Bairrada

The Bairrada wine region takes its name from the Portuguese word for "clay." It lies south of Águeda, includes the municipaliites of Anadia, Cantanhede, Mealhada, and Oliveira do Bairro, and is a fine region to pick for enotourism. As a wine, it is typically drunk with leitão da Bairrada, suckling pig.
