The most striking feature of this town in Estremadura is the Pinhal de Leiria, a vast, ancient pine forest stretching from the town itself to the coast, about 12 km away. Unfortunately but predictably, the muncipal site has no English-language content, and even the "Mapa da Cidade" is non-interactive.
