Link profile: Ayuntamiento de Hacinas

Category: Start / Spain and its Regions / Old Castile and León (Castilla-León) / Burgos / Sierra de la Demanda
Small town in the south-east of the province of Burgos, well known for its fiestas, including an extravegant carnival. Hacinas is known, among other things, for the "fossil trees" dotted about the place, the first of which was discovered in 1976. They are about 120 million years old, so don't go carving your initials on them.
