Link profile: Ayuntamiento de Santo Domingo de la Calzada

Category: Start / Spain and its Regions / La Rioja / Santo Domingo de la Calzada
Possibly the first purpose-built tourist complex in history, having grown up around the hospital for pilgrims founded there by the saint in question, Santo Domingo de la Calzada is an important stop on the Camino de Santiago and a much livelier little place than you could expect for a town of only 6,000 inhabitants. The municipal website is, of course, Spanish only.
