Link profile: Parque Nacional Sierra Nevada

Category: Start / Spain and its Regions / Andalusia / Granada / Sierra Nevada
The Sierra Nevada National Park is extraordinary because of its combination of altitude (i.e., cold) and southernness (i.e., heat). The bad news is that the official Ministry of the Environment pages for Spanish national parks keep changing URL, so I can only suggest that the link above may work. The good news is that they are at long last available in English. The Sierra Nevada, its history, conservation and a fine visitors' guide, covering its flora and fauna and routes around it (if you are interested in the nature of this area rather than skiing, you will find more information under Spain and its Regions > Andalusia > Granada > Las Alpujarras).
