Festival held annually from September to October at various locations in the region. Rioja wine is the central theme, but the "5 sentidos" (why "5 senses?" I imagine because you are supposed to use all five at a wine tasting) provides the excuse to add more or less any cultural offering imaginable to the programme: as well as the predictable theatre, concerts, exhibitions and so on, a regatta of hot-air balloons and a horse-dancing show were included in 2005.
