Link profile: Consejo Regulador Montilla-Moriles

Category: Start / Spain and its Regions / Andalusia / Córdoba / Montilla-Moriles
The Sierra de Montilla and the hills of Moriles lie south of Córdoba and the Guadalquivir. Sherry-like wine is made there, with the same names as sherry: fino, amontillado, oloroso and vino joven ("young" wine), as well as the sweet Pedro Ximénez which was first made there from the grape variety of the same name. The wine-making area includes the towns of Montilla and Moriles, evidently, Puente Genil and a number of other places of interest to visitors.
