Link profile: Móstoles

Category: Start / Spain and its Regions / Madrid / Móstoles
The town of Móstoles to the south of Madrid is not of great interest to visitors, in spite of having a certain historic importance. The Spanish War of Independence (from the French, what we call the Peninsula War) was declared here in 1808, and in spite of the fact that the war was definitively won by 1814, Móstoles did not sign a formal peace with France until 1985.
