Link profile: Deputación de Pontevedra

Category: Start / Spain and its Regions / Galicia / Pontevedra
Pontevedra is the Galician province with the most developed tourist industry, mainly because of the lovely Rías Baixas, the southern estuaries, and the fish and seafood extracted from them and the Atlantic into which they empty. The capital city is also attractive, though not one of the great cities of Spain, and Vigo, considerably larger than Pontevedra, is of great interest. The Islas Cíes, part of the Parque Nacional de las Islas Atlánticas de Galicia, is a sanctuary for seabirds. This is the provincial government's Galician-only website and a bureaucratic mess.
