Spain and Portugal for Visitors

The Sierra Nevada National Park is extraordinary because of its combination of altitude (i.e., cold) and southernness (i.e., heat). The bad news is that the official Ministry of the Environment pages for Spanish national parks keep changing URL, so I can only suggest that the link above may work. The good news is that they are at long last available in English. The website of the company which runs the Sierra Nevada ski station, offering information on summer activities like walking, trekking, horse riding and cycling as well as on snow sports (thank goodness they have dropped that twee "Sol y Nieve" name). Note: this link is often reported as broken (and many thanks to those who report, I really do appreciate it), but it never is when I check, so far anyway.
