Murcia Sights
Mar Menor
Address:
Not applicable, Murcia
Not applicable Murcia
Getting There:
By air: Murcia San Javier Airport is shared by the Spanish Airport Authority, AENA, and the adjacent Spanish Air Force pilots' training school. Its use by civil aviation has increased enormously with the advent of low-cost airlines - its passenger numbers for 2005 were over four times those for 2002. It now has connections with 16 UK airports, with flights operated by British Midland, Flybe, Jet2, My Travel, Ryanair and BA. Transport to and from San Javier Airport is pretty well limited to taxis, private transfers and rentals, there being no railway, only three buses a day to the city of Murcia and none to other parts of the Mar Menor.
By road: Murcia's coast is served by the Mediterranean Toll Highway, the AP-7, and its toll-free counterpart, the A-7.
