No. It is a journey worth making, Seville and Marrakesh both being magical places and in some ways a kind of reflection of each other, but it is not easy. The fastest way of doing it as far as I know is with Eurolines (see http://www.spai...wlink&cid=89 [15]). Their buses leave Seville at 5 am on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and get to Marrakesh at midnight, price 85 euros one way or 150 euros return. Any other combination will take you 1 1/2 to 2 days to get there and the same to get back, as you will have to get to Algeciras, take the ferry to Tangiers, then get a bus or train from there to Marrakesh, and that means travelling almost the entire north-south length of the country. You might even have to change buses in Rabat or Casablanca, I don't know.

<<which would be the better option?>>

Buses are usually a more efficient way of travelling in both Spain and Morocco. And much cheaper. I haven't used the trains in Morocco in years, but I imagine they are still pretty African, i.e., slow and uncomfortable, but picturesque and atmospheric, so it depends if you prefer to spend your time in Marrakesh or enjoy the journey itself.

Please feel free to say thank you.

Unregistered User Go to the Eurolines site, select "Country Sites" and then "Spain." Two links appears at the top of the page, one for "Eurolines Peninsular S.A.," the other for ALSA.

Click "Eurolines Peninsular S.A.", and a new window opens for the Eurolines Spain outfit, in Spanish, but we can get through that. Click "L?neas Internacionales" in the left-hand column, then "Marruecos," and a pdf comes up, probably in a frame, with the different timetables, including the Seville-Marrakesh run. It's confusing, and I don't understand it exactly myself, but there are plenty of contact numbers to try for more clarification.

Or click "ALSA," to be taken to the site of this Spanish bus company, again in Spanish, and even more confusing, as I think we have to look at the line from Seville (origen) to FKIH BEN SALAH (destino). Leastways, that's what I think, feel free to tell me I'm wrong. In fact, it's easier to see how to get from Marrakesh to Seville than the other way round, but if you work through all the Seville-Marruecos routes, you'll find it - I'm afraid I can't spend any more time on this myself, sorry.
