Unregistered User We are thinking of opening a bank account in Spain for the two months a year we plan on living there. Anything we should know?

Unless you have residencia (i.e., a N.I.F., tax number), you are required to open a tourist account or whatever they call them now. You are only supposed to keep this open for something like six months, after which they will charge you something pretty hefty, but they shouldn't close the account, though I have heard horror stories. In other words, if you open an account with your passport number, be careful. Also, bank charges are very high compared with what you are probably used to (you are British, I suppose?).
