Seville Five-Star
Hotels
SPV's selection of five-star hotels in Seville, including
the magnificent Alfonso XIII, most of which can be reserved
on-line.
Seville Four-Star
Hotels
SPV's selection of four-star Seville hotels, including the
classic Hotel Inglaterra, most of which can be reserved on-line.
Partners
Spain and Portugal for Visitors is affiliated
with the following booking services, which means I earn a
small amount of commission if you book through them, which
helps towards paying the costs of this site.
Hotel
Club - Seville
I believe you will find the Hotel Club conditions to be as
good as anywhere else on the Internet, but don't take my word
for it, check and compare.
Venere
- Seville
Venere's biggest strong point is its discounts, but it also
has a nice user feedback feature which will be really useful
when more people have provided reviews.
Other Sites
Europe-hotels.com
- Seville
Poor. Ugly entrance page, sloppy English, short listing and
incomprehensible availability checker.
GoSeville
An on-line hotel finder and reservation service. Not bad,
the availability checker works fine, but a little short on
information about the establishments.
Seville
- 2ABookings
An online hotel booking service for Seville. Their list is
not very long but covers the full price spectrum. You have
to inquire about availability before you are told the price.
SOL
- Seville On-Line
The accommodation booking service of Seville On-Line is one
of the site's best features, though this is not immediately
obvious. The engine used is the same as the 2A booking service
above, made a little more complicated. You need to click on
"Sevilla" for a full list of establishments available
through the service, with good descriptions and photographs.
The more expensive places can be booked on-line, and even
the cheaper places can be reserved by e-mail. Prices are not
noticeably discounted.
More Hotels
Alfonso
XIII ******
A classic. This hotel was commissioned in 1928 by the
king to be the most luxurious hotel in Europe, and is still
one of the great hotels on the continent. Note that for Holy
Week and the April Fair, you must book the whole week and
pay in advance, and you will probably be lucky if there are
vacancies at that. If you prefer, you can book through the
hotel's own website,
but the Hotel
Club rates are significantly lower.
Hacienda
Benazuza *****
A 10th century hacienda converted into a singular gran
luxe hotel. Not especially convenient for Seville itself,
rather a place to stay to enjoy in its own right. I have not
found the Hacienda Benazuza's own website, but I would be
surprised if it offered better rates than Hotel Club.
Fernando
III Hotel ****
A city-centre hotel which prides itself on its fourth-floor
swimming pool and the views from it. Much more economical
through Hotel
Club than through the hotel's own website.
Hotel
Inglaterra ****
A classic, classy nineteenth-century hotel, and excellent
value if booked through Hotel Club (don't take my word for
it, take a look at the hotel's own website).
Las
Casas de la Judería ***
Do not be taken in by this establishment's three-star rating:
it is a near luxury hotel with prices to match. It is built
around a number of aristocratic houses and palaces in the
old Jewish quarter and is one of the places I would like to
stay in before I die. I think it would be suitable for someone
wanting to make a really serious seduction attempt on a citybreak
weekend. I have mislaid its website, so if you want to compare
rates you will need to look at, for example, Venere's
page.
