Caravanning, motorhoming and RVing are attractive to many people of all ages and backgrounds who see them as a form of combining mobility with affordability. RVs and motorhomes, especially, are ideal for dealing with the large distances often involved in getting around Spain and Portugal, and it is not uncommon for travellers to combine motorhoming with parador-hopping.

Eurocampingcar.com
This French site claiming to be "the best European guide to motorhome sanistations" looks like it should be a useful resource, but few of the links were working properly when I checked. The section on "Rights and Obligations of Motorhome Users" will be interesting to anyone who has ever wondered just where you are are allowed to stop overnight.

Motorhomemagazine.com
The website of an American magazine for RVers, with professionally written articles on matters like "dinghy towing" and "tire-tread depth". I imagine this is the sort of stuff real RV men jaw about when they are male-bonding around the bar-b-q.

A Motor Home on Tour
Built by Joan and Roger of "The Wolery," this slightly Javascript-top-heavy site contains a wealth of material for motorhomers wanting to tour Andorra, Belgium, France or Spain. In practical terms, the most useful info is probably found by clicking down through country and region to province, where you will find links to what I imagine are motorhome-friendly campsites.

VayaCamping.net
One day, I will get round to putting up a page or two on Spanish and Portuguese campsites - until then, this excellent site (now available in English) will at least let you find them, and even includes links to the campsites' web pages, so in many cases you can book online.

ViajaLibre
A great site: professional, focused, enticing and above all useful to motor home beginners and experts alike, but unfortunately in Spanish only. It belongs to an association of Spanish motor home dealers offering new, second-hand and rented motor homes, camping cars, and caravans.

Spanish Motor Home Dealers

The sites listed below were mostly obtained through ViajaLibre - I imagine most of these dealers will rent out motor homes but I cannot guarantee it - if the site is in Spanish only, look for "Alquiler." (Remember to check communications with your airport if the dealer does not deliver there.)

If you have a business which you think belongs on this list, by all means e-mail me.
