| The Ciudad de Sevilla
is one of the most atmospheric hotels in Seville,
built "as part of an ensemble of residential
houses," not for the '92 Expo, but for the
Universal Exhibition of 1927. Rates will almost
certainly be lower from Hotel Club than on the hotel
chain's very sluggish web

| In spite of its historic
sounding name, the Al-Andalus is a large, modern
hotel, and excellent value for money at most times
of year. Its website is theoretically here,
but I always get a "This page cannot be found"
message, though the chain it belongs to has a page
here
(on which the rates quoted are very much more expensive
than the Hotel

travel oriented hotel, located in the north of Seville,
with tremendous facilities for conventions and such.
Its very sophisticated website
will delight Flash enthusiasts and infuriate everyone
else, as no HTML version is offered. Hotel
Club's rates are significantly lower than the
hotel's online prices and are even competitive with
its corporate rate. |

this is an unremarkable but comfortable, value-for-money
choice of accommodation. Its website
is old-fashioned and uninformative, but may well
offer better rates than Hotel Club, so compare. |

hotel near the train station (where you will arrive
if you have caught the AVE from Madrid). It looks
like good value for money, depending on the time
of year, though I think you will get better rates
from Hotel
Club than from the hotel chain's web

| Belonging to the same
chain as the Emperador Trajano above, this is a
slightly larger hotel, not far, as you would expect,
from the Giralda tower. The hotel chain's web
page for this hotel threw a wobbler when I tried
to check prices on-line — you may have better
luck. |

| Centrally located in
the Santa Cruz quarter, this medium-sized hotel
looks like reasonable value for money. At the time
of writing (March 2003), its website
had not updated its prices from 2002, so it is difficult
for me to compare with Hotel
Club's rates: I leave it up to you. |

but the advantages for you are the convenience

a night in a double room in the 4-star Hotel
Mayorazgo in Madrid in September as given

web page is €170 plus IVA (value-added
tax), whereas the rate advertised by Hotel
Club is €125, including tax. And
if you use the Hotel Club service, I get
a little commission which helps towards
the upkeep of this site.
