The
city of Valencia is less well provided with hotel accommodation
than you might expect, especially at the top of the market,
and in the centre many hotels are oriented towards the business
travel market. But prices are generally very reasonable and
Valencia as a whole rarely hangs up the "no vacancies"
sign, though planning ahead is a good idea, especially for the
festival of Las Fallas.

I have not found the website for this
hotel complex and know nothing about it, but if
you like a flutter before bedtime, it looks like
a good idea. The HotelClub* blurb includes: "...in
a great location, just a few minutes drive from
the centre of Valencia, the International Trade
Fair and the airport. It has been certified as a
place of national tourist interest and is located
on the side of Mount Picayo, in a tourist residential
area of the same name. It is surrounded by gardens
and faces the sea with a marvellous view over the
Mediterranean Sea."

A five-star beach hotel with a fabulous
location in the Albufera Nature Reserve, but not
out of the way for seeing the sights of Valencia.
The hotel's own website is quite good and probably
worth checking out for special offers. The Hotel
Club* blurb waxes more lyrical than usual: "Here
you will find mild winters, the sea with its ever
changing colours, pine woods bordering the coastline
and the ever-present sun throughout all four seasons.
* Many of the three-, four-
and five-star hotels included on these pages belong
to the Hotel Club online booking service, of which this
site is an affiliate, and in this case I link to the
Hotel Club page. I do not want to give a sales spiel,
but the advantages for you are the convenience of online
booking and, in many cases, a reduced rate. For example,
the price for a night in a double room in the 4-star
Hotel Mayorazgo in Madrid in September as given on the
hotel's
web page is €170 plus IVA (value-added tax),
whereas the rate advertised by Hotel
Club is €125, including tax. And if you use
the Hotel Club service, I get a little commission which
helps towards the upkeep of this site.
If you have any complaints about the Hotel Club service,
I want to know about them - e-mail me at complaints.
And if you have a gripe about your hotel, by all means
feel free to let me know, though I am not in a position
to do anything about it.
